The Academy of International Business Secretariat is located at the International Business Center of The Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. AIB thanks to the International Business Center and The Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University for hosting its office and website.
Currently, the AIB Secretariat consists of the Executive Director, Managing Director, Treasurer, Office Assistants, Webmaster, Graphics Designer, and HTML Author.
The Executive Director provides oversight of the AIB Secretariat. He is responsible for strategy development for AIB, aligning tactical operations of AIB, and leading its implementation efforts. Dr. Hult stepped into this position on January 1st, 2004, relieving Dr. James R. Wills Jr. of University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
The Managing Director manages the day-to-day operations of AIB, including annual meeting management and coordination; support for annual meeting program chair; information technology planning and initiatives; chapters support and operations; coordination with AIB Executive Board; and the management of the AIB Secretariat staff. Tunga Kiyak has been in this position since January 1, 2004.
The Treasurer is responsible for finances, expense reimbursements, accounts payable/receivable, and all other financial matters and reporting.
The Journals Coordinator conducts day-to-day operations of the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) and the Journal of International Business Policy (JIBP), and is responsible for managing the editorial and publication process of AIB's scholarly publications. Anne also manages the social media presence of JIBS and JIBP.
Kathy is the interface of AIB with its membership, handling membership and conference inquiries and initiatives. Responsibilities also include the membership publications, assisting with conference planning, chapter relationships, and support for various other AIB operations.
Dan is responsible for supporting member engagement and collaboration across a full range of communication platforms, including social media, email, print, and AIB's website.
Jamie is responsible for website management as well as system development and support for AIB's technology assets.
