Given out by the AIB Fellows, the John Fayerweather Eminent Scholar Award recognizes an outstanding thinker or researcher in any discipline who is not an AIB member but whose scholarship has significantly influenced international-business research through new conceptualizations, theorizations and/or empirical inquiries. The award was named after John Fayerweather in 2015, to recognize his outstanding contributions as an early proponent and leader of international business scholarship and as one of the founders of the Academy of International Business.
