Founded in 1852, Laval University is the oldest French-speaking university of North-America. The development of education and research activities in the field of international affairs is considered highly strategic by the University. Its business school, the Faculté des sciences de l'administration (FSA), is one of the key players in this domain.

As the first non English-speaking business school accredited by AACSB International in the world, the FSA is made up of a core of 100 professors in which the great majority holds a doctorate from a North American or European university. There are currently over 6,000 students in the FSA, of which 1 200 are master's and doctoral students.

Over the past few years, the research accomplished by faculty members in the field of international business has been published in prestigious journals in the world. The FSA has also developed very strong ties within the business community. Many professors work as experts for enterprises and organizations in the field of international business.

Today, the FSA offers the following programs in the field of international business:
  • a MBA in International Business (created in 1989) ;
  • a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in International Business (created in 1992);
  • a Doctorate with a specialization in International Management (created in 1998);
  • a mini-undergraduate training program in International Business (created in 1996);
  • a mini-graduate (Master's) training program in International Business (created in 2000);
  • An executive program in International Business (created in 2004).
