AIB 2002 Conference Hotel

The conference hotel for AIB 2002 is the Caribe Hilton San Juan. All activities and events will take place in the Caribe Hilton.

Caribe Hilton San Juan

Hosting the only private beach on the island, the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan is the venue for the AIB conference. The Caribe Hilton is a 17-acre beachfront resort ideally located between historic Old San Juan and the bustling and energetic New San Juan. The landmark property, which opened in 1949, has been host to countless dignitaries and celebrities. The historic hotel has undergone a $50 million renovation and reopened December 25, 1999, celebrating 50 years as a premier resort. The first phase of renovations unveiled a complete redesign of the hotel's 644 rooms, the new Hilton Meetings and Business Center with 11 meeting rooms, a pool-side bar and grill, alluring gardens, a new lobby with an inspiring entryway offering stunning ocean views and a revamped beach area with a spectacular swimming complex characterized by waterfalls, a children's play area and a swim-up bar. The Caribe Hilton is located next to the 16th century Fort San Geronimo at the west end of Baldorioty de Castro Avenue - less than one mile from the Condado shopping and entertainment area, two miles from historic Old San Juan, 10 minutes from the main business district, and seven miles from the airport. AIB members will have the opportunity to explore the hotel’s excellent leisure and business facilities – beachfront swimming and 65,000 square feet of conference area. Room rates for single or double rooms are approximately $145.00 + 11% tax and services, and $4.00/person for Bellman gratuities and $.50/daily for Maid Gratuities.

Normandie Hotel

A historic art deco landmark, the Normandie is an atrium hotel of seven-stories with 177 air-conditioned standard rooms and suites equipped for your comfort and convenience. Built in 1939 by a prominent local engineer to honor his French wife, it was meant to recall the famous French ocean liner "Normandie". Inactive for decades, this historic landmark has been newly renovated and today the Normandie Hotel offers a unique combination of art-deco with an eclectic blend of Egyptian, French and Roman detailing. Regency Hotel
