November 16 marked the first day of the AIB Conference. Visitors from around the world came to attend the event. The opening ceremonies began at 6:45 and were held at the Australian Museum.
The reception was a wine tasting, sponsored by Southcorp Wines. Conference attendees were given the opportunity to sample some of Australia's finest wines, and were later entertained by Aboriginal dancers.
