The Academy of International Business is organizing a Junior Faculty Consortium prior to its annual meeting in Charleston, South Carolina. We invite all faculty active in research and/or teaching in international business to participate, though preference will be given to those who have been teaching international business for fewer than four years.

The objective of the consortium is to help participants:

• Improve their networks with academics and non-academics
• Increase publications with information on how to structure research, write papers and improve the chance of positive review
• Identify new teaching resources and techniques to improve classroom performance
• Learn about non-traditional (non-tenure) career paths that can be rewarding
• Address career questions in a comfortable, supportive atmosphere

To apply, please send a letter stating your interest by September 1, 1999. The letter should include the following information:

1. your academic background and current status (including the number of years involved in international research/teaching)
2. current international business teaching and/or research interests
3. contact information, including e-mail address
