Established in 1959, today the AIB has nearly 3000 members in 65 different countries around the world. Since its founding in 1959, the AIB has grown in size and breadth. We are grateful to the many individuals that have contributed to this progress. Our members include scholars from leading academic institutions as well as consultants, researchers, and NGO representatives. We welcome individuals from developing countries, newly industrialized countries, as well as industrialized countries to join AIB.
AIB-L, our electronic discussion list, offers opportunities for discussion and intellectual networking creating a virtual venue for sharing professional accomplishments, facilitating learning, and open exchanges.
AIB also houses many chapters around the world and some special interest groups such as the Women in AIB (WAIB).
