The Faculty of Business & Information Technology invites applications for a tenure-stream or tenured position in Strategic Management at any rank; effective July 1, 2010. This position is subject to budgetary approval. Applicants with research expertise in Strategic Management are being sought, and should possess (or be close to completing) a PhD in a related area, a strong academic background, and a record of excellence in research. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct active and innovative research programs and to teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. In keeping with a technology-enhanced learning environment utilizing laptop computers and wireless connectivity, UOIT seeks faculty who strive to explore and develop new pedagogies.
The Faculty offers honours undergraduate degrees in Commerce (with major/minor in accounting, e-commerce, finance, and marketing as well as a concentration in human resource management) and Information Technology (with specializations in game development and entrepreneurship, networking and IT security). Dr. Suhaib Riaz (Suhaib.Riaz@uoit.ca) will be attending the Academy of International Business conference in San Diego, California on June 27/09 to June 30/09 and the Academy of Management Conference in Chicago, Illinois on August 07/09 to August 11/09. He will conduct preliminary meetings with interested candidates.
